We are very excited to have the new 2012 season knocking at our doorstep.

The store is scheduled to open May 4th. We will have lots of great gift, clothing and boating items available.

The full menu service begins on May 4th, but weekends only to May 18th, and then we will have a full service menu every day.

Office hours and Deli hours switch over also on May 18th. Sunday thru Thursday we are open from 8am to 6pm.  Friday and Saturday we are open 8am to 8pm.

We will have the pool open also in early May for your enjoyment.

Be sure to check out the events for this year. We think there is a little something for everyone.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OUR OLD FRIENDS AND HOPING TO MEET A LOT OF NEW ONES THIS YEAR. AS ALWAYS WE KNOW YOU HAVE A CHOICE WHERE YOU CALL YOUR HABOR AND WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU CHOOSE THE ALTON MARINA.

LET THE SEASON BEGIN.

Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and are adjusting to the new year. We are busy here at the marina working on all of our maintenance items and planning for the 2012 boating season.

For those that are concerned, we have turned on the bubblers and are keeping the boats free of ice as much as possible.  Baby it is COLD down here at the marina but Jeremy and Kelsie are doing a good job of taking care of your boats and the docks.

I will be in touch soon with contracts and a list of the summer events and the date of our annual ice breaker.  I hope you are enjoying your winter and I hope you are staying warm and cozy.  Spring is coming soon and I can’t wait for the boating season to start (Fran and I are running out of things to talk about..HAHA).

If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello.  Please  don’t hesitate to call if you need anything from any of us here at the marina. Thanks again for all your business… we truly appreciate it!!

See you as soon as warm skies return, if not sooner!!

Karen

Hello Everyone, I hope that you are all staying warm and happy!

Just a couple of items that I would like to mention:

If any of your friends or family will be looking to make reservations for the Fireworks weekend (Think warm- July is just around the corner!), they should contact us soon. Spots fill up fast - last year we started our wait-list in March!

This time of year, we are constantly checking your boats- looking for things like loose shore power cords, dock lines that have loosened, covers blowing loose, etc., so that we can correct them, or notify you guys if needed. If there is anything specific that you need us to keep an eye on, please let us know! Also, in foul weather, please stop in to the office and see us before you head out on the docks- it can be treacherous out there and we want to help keep anyone from having an “experience”! If we can check something for you instead, we will be glad to!

We have been working on refreshing the deck surface along the courtesy dock. So far, we’ve flipped or replaced just about 700 boards, which entails something like 3,600 deck screws- So don’t worry, we’ve been burning off our holiday calories! It really does make a big difference in the look and feel of the dock, and we plan to continue rehabbing other areas as the weather permits.

P.S. The flock of attack ducks is doing well- the staff and I have a bad habit of feeding them in the winter… but they miss you guys and your goodies!
